EVALUATIONS

 

What will happen during our initial evaluation?

Review of Patient Forms

It is helpful to provide the patient forms before your appointment by filling out the online forms provided on this website. Provide as much information beforehand as possible for the best results at your appointment.

 

Review of Parent Observations and Concerns

Bring notes regarding the observations you make at home. If applicable, bring teacher notes, referrals, and discuss your child’s teacher’s observations as well as your own.

 

Observation and Assessments

Dr. Mike will test your child with a variance of verbal, non-verbal and visual tests. He will also observe your child’s behavior throughout your appointment.

 

Assessments for Children Ages 18 months to Four Years

Ms. Lawanna Smith will be conducting our Early Childhood Assessments for children with suspected communication and social interaction delays using ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Scales). Following your two-hour initial evaluation, Dr. Mike will meet with Ms. Smith to determine any diagnosis and treatment needed if applicable. You will then be contacted with in one week to schedule a consultation to review our assessment and recommended treatments.

 

Initial Diagnosis and Treatment Plan (if applicable)

Dr. Mike will make an initial diagnosis and inform you of any concerns at this time. If applicable, he will recommend services and treatment plans pertaining to the observation and or diagnosis made during your consultation.

 

Question & Answer

Use this time to ask any questions you may have concerning the diagnosis, observations, testing criteria, and supplements and/or medications recommended during your consultation.
